Parramatta’s Winterlight 2012

Parramatta, an upscale city within the Great Western Sydney area, has transformed the Church Street Mall to an array of colourful and enjoyable festivities for the whole family. The event, Winterlight Festival, which started last June 30, was a simple yet vibrant blend of colourful lights, an outdoor skating rink and several food stalls.

The 16-day affair is a fun place to bring the kids this school holidays. They will definitely experience a range of live entertainment, music and workshops, which adults will also appreciate.

Photography enthusiasts will also capture amazing snapshots of the brilliant and rich lights that adorn the old Parramatta Town Hall and the architectural splendour of the St. John’s Anglican Cathedral. Though the light attractions are not as many as those found during the Sydney Vivid Lights, it is still worth the visit as their light displays are creative, dazzling and unique. Additionally, snappers will also get the chance to take photos of families and friends on the giant outdoor skating rink, capturing their experience.

Winterlight Festival will end on the 16th of July; thus, bring your family and friends to this unique festival and have a wonderful experience of laughter and joy.
